I have only generally followed this ongoing conversation, and I’m not sure all of these analogies quite work — trash is not used to generate conversation or interact with others — but it’s one of the more convincing arguments I’ve seen from the “Twitter is something other than public, sometimes” camp.

I still don’t understand what Medium is. DON’T TRY TO EXPLAIN IT AGAIN. Others have tried, and I’ve listened gamely while wearing my smartest face, and nothing has changed.
