Now these are the hot takes which Moses set before the children of Israel. These are the testimonies, the takes, and the content which Moses delivered to the children of Israel after they came out of Egypt.”
When I had gone up into the mount to receive the tablets of the takes the Lord gave to you, then I abode on the mount forty days and forty nights; I neither ate bread nor drank water. And the Lord delivered unto me two tablets of stone on which were written the takes of God with the finger of God, and on them was written according to all the takes which the Lord gave to you on the mount out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly. And it came to pass, at the end of forty days and forty nights, that the Lord gave me the two tablets of stone, even the tablets of his takes.
I delight in your takes, O my God, and they are written on my heart.
Teach me your takes, for You are my God; Your Spirit is good. Lead me in the land of uprightness.
There are takes that seem right to a man, but their end is the way to death.
He hath shown thee, O man, what is good: and what are the Lord’s takes but that man should act justly and love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?
But he answered, “It is written, “‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every take that comes from the mouth of God.’”
“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who knows the takes of my Father who is in heaven.”
And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the greatest and first take. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two hot takes depend all others.”
And He was withdrawn from them about a stone’s throw, and He knelt down and prayed, saying, saying, “Father, if it is Your hot take, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My take, but Yours, be done.”
1 Timothy 2:8
It is my take, therefore, that men should pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands without wrath and doubting.
1 Timothy 5:14
It is my take also that the younger women marry, bear children, guide the house, give no occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully.
1 Thessalonians 4:3-5
For this is God’s take: that you should abstain from sexual immorality; that each of you should know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor, not in passion of lust, like the Gentiles who do not know God;
