Home: The Toast

What-ho, Eastronners! I am on your seaboard this week, and I’d like to extend you the invitation of seeing me, should you be so inclined. For Boston:

Friday, October 30th, 6:30 pm at the Rose Art Museum, an evening of Slides and Jokes [FREE[.

Co-founder of The Toast, creator of the series “Women In Western Art History”, and author of Texts From Jane Eyre, Mallory Ortberg will bring her unique social perspective and sense of humor to the Rose to lead a discussion on Lisa Yuskavage: The Brood. The discussion will be rooted in an exploration of women in art – both as subjects and creators – and will wrestle with how The Brood fits into that story.

For New York:

Wednesday, November 4th, at Joe’s Pub, as part of Women of Letters [this is twenty dollars and full of other wonderful people who are not me, including Franchesca Ramsey, which, ahh!]

Women of Letters is everyone’s favorite literary salon!

Every month, New York’s best and brightest women come together on stage to celebrate the lost art of letter writing. Expect laughter, tears, and camaraderie as host Sofija Stefanovic welcomes guests reading “a letter to my could have been”.

Apparently it is ALREADY YOUR FAVORITE THING, so you should come and bung a hello in my direction.
