I left work early on Tuesday and got home to MrChouffe binging Frye and Laurie. Specifically, this little gem.
When I first watched it, I was enjoying the song until the third verse, when I couldn’t stop laughing. It’s the callousness of “as a human being, you are history”, after the gentle weirdness of the rest of the song.
No, no, this one is definitely the better one.
I can never, ever forget the way he sings the words. When I saw Hugh live in concert about 2 years ago, it was like a flashback to this song (well, partly, one of the songs he sang was)
This song is a bit of a ‘screen’ for whether I can be friends with someone or not. 😉

I love this one! I feel like he starts out a little Billie Holiday (shades of David Sedaris singing ad jingles) but it quickly morphs into something else.
