ALERT: NEW MAGIC MIKE POSTER

In this amazing poster, my beloved Channing is saying, “Back off, ladies. All this is for Roxane only.” He is also saying, “Take a look at my oiled torso, my perfect arms, my perfect face, my amazing dance moves, my thick neck, I am the Alpha and the Omega.”

Yes, Channing. Yes.

    What is happening on the right-hand curve of his neck? Is that where photoshop meet the font? I just don’t know why the white part digs so deep into his shoulder.

    Also, I only noticed because I was resting my eyes on his neck like it was their pillow and they were so tired.

      I think the white triangle is brightly lit skin, like the white bit on the side of his face. The rest of his shoulder and neck still look a bit odd, though.

        Also the way the bright lighting on his back makes it look like the background is absorbing him is a bit worrying. But I suppose it provides a second reason why he is making a “back off” face.

        Sadly, the carnivorous background amoeba is fast-moving, and will likely consume much of his torso before he fully realizes the danger and begins taking more active measures against it.

    I’d like to thank God and also Jesus that I’ll be back in Tampa by the time XXL comes out because a Tampa Magic Mike viewing party is the utmost.

      OMG WANT. I am from the dirty south and nothing would please me more. Instead, I am stuck in the PNW with people who wear sensible clothing. (It is a good spot to see “Wild” and someone will hand you a tissue, tho.)

        All area Toasties are invited, natch.

        (this is probably a safe space to admit that I cried during the Magic Mike credits because stupid Steven Soderbergh knew how much I missed Tampa and was seeing this dumb Tampon movie in Middleburg Heights, Ohio and stuck “Feels Like the First Time” over the credits to really drive the point home goddamn you Soderbergh)

    At some point, they will get to the level of advertising where they would normally use critic pull quotes (like “Pete Travers from Rolling Stone says ‘Exciting!'”). It is my fond hope that instead of that nonsense, they just use quotes from Roxane.

      Whereas Sam Worthington is a hunky dope…..and SERIOUS about it.

      And Kellan Lutz is just a living bad Photoshop.

          @guppytroutmermaid @dianaH @allofthewhine:

          Miami for Winter Music Conference in 1999, when dance music was still A Thing before EDM. I was with a bunch of friends listening to Miguel Migs (ALSO HOT) at Bed, and this shirtless man-boy just starts working the dancefloor in his JNCOS. “IS THAT A PRINCE” said one of my squad. “I THINK SO MAYBE” and all of us were too heavily sighing over his adorableness to dance near him. And we were good dancers! But Le Prince has perfect isolations and liquid moves and we gigglingly eventually introduced ourselves and he (ETA: my girls made sure I had this in the story) took my friends’ ear and did that thumb thing so you can hear him, and says “I’m Chan”, and all of our collective relationships and panties evaporated on the spot.

          And most of my squad was dudes.

          If I had a photo of Chan, I would share it with the Toasties, alas, I only have photos (actual printed photos, mind you) of the bunch of us wearing a lot of glitter and big pants in the club, and then staring at the sunrise, completely mashed. I am saving those photos for when we have to have The Drugs Talk with all of our children. “drugs make you weird and popular, but they also make you wear dumb clothes.”

    I have been looking for something to go on the big, blank wall behind my couch. And now I have found it. And if the boyfriend has a problem with that, I will promptly divorce him.
