In conclusion, Tim Meadows is great; let’s talk about him for the rest of the afternoon. Did you know that his tenure was the sixth-longest in all of SNL’s history? Beats Kevin Nealon, even.

I watched Walk Hard solely because of Nicole’s adoration for it over on The Hairpin and it was a decision I will never regret.

I will always have a soft spot for Leon Phelps because a) that was one of my favorite recurring characters from that era (in which I watched a LOT of SNL) & b) because I once spent a long car ride with my aunt, parents, & grandma entertaining them all by talking in Ladies’ Man voice. I can’t even think “ooh…it’th a lady” without at least cracking a smile.
i once had an awkward encounter with tim meadows. after a concert i came out to the parking lot to find my 10+ yr old sedan sandwiched between two new mercedes and decided to wait a bit til those cars left, since the concert was just letting out and i was gonna be stuck in traffic anyway. but then it turned out one of those cars that did not sport a giant cracked windshield like mine was none other than tim meadows, and he and his lady friend started making out while they were waiting for the parking lot traffic to clear and LA parking spaces being what they are, i may as well have been in the same car with them. it was a long half hour before i got out of that parking lot.
