Don’t ask me why an upscale eyeglasses company is throwing my book a party, because it’s as delightful a mystery to me as it is to you. But I’m not complaining. When brands tell me they want to throw in-store parties on my behalf, I don’t get critical, I just ask for final menu approval and buy a very fancy skirt. (The menu includes TINY SANDWICHES and the skirt is unreal, you guys.)
If you’re in the Bay Area and you’re thinking of stopping by tonight, please do! I’ll be around all evening and I’m happy to sign books and chat and see how much of Noel Coward’s “I Went To A Marvelous Party” we can recite from memory before missing a word. We’ll have a marvelous time.

Goshdarnit, I have plans tonight. And I really need my Kindle re-signed because it turns out signatures will fade REALLY fast off a Kindle and maybe that’s why signing a Kindle is not actually A Thing but it’s where I’m trapped now.
If I did not need to be at work early tomorrow morning, in LOS ANGELES, I would be there in a heartbeat. Curse this geographically abundant state of ours!
