Last year, by Madeline Gobbo: Valentines for the Indifferent

Madeline Gobbo worked in publishing for a while, and then one fateful day Mallory Ortberg asked her to draw some pictures for a new book she was writing called Texts From Jane Eyre. After that Madeline decided she wanted to doodle things full-time, so she quit her job and her LinkedIn profile and took to the highways with a bindle stick full of colored pencils.
Every one of these would work on me.
I am owning and rocking my monstrosity right now.
still waiting for valentines with plausible deniability….
These are beautiful. The Toast is seriously setting new #relationshipgoals for me today.

These are adorable. I am sending them to everyone, especially the last one.
Where do we buy these? Discounts in bulk?
Yes, I need these in my life!
I feel that I must show you my buddy’s Monster Pin-up Girls: http://www.twincomics.com/monster-pin-up-girls/

I was reading this thinking “yes, I get it, mhmm,” etc. and then I came upon the majestic alien lady and my brain went “I want to be the sassy alien lady!!!”
I’m not sure why it’s resonating with me so strongly, but it is.
Then you need to see “Frankenstein Meets the Space Monster.” Best glittery evil space queen pantsuit EVER.
I feel like this post has shown me my own heart. (Though not in the dripping-blood-over-the-floor kind of way.)
Silly pun Valentines are the best thing about this dumb holiday! Closely followed by day-after candy sales, obviously.
