I’ve never wanted something to be real as much as I want Bill’s Personalized Calzones to exist.

Worth noting that I am literally, right now, sitting in my office under a heated blanket eating bread.

            AS YOU SHOULD BE.
(I am wearing long underwear under my corduroys and had cookies for breakfast.)

Both of you deserve the Doing it Right Today Calzone (served extra hot to help winter chills GTFO).

I think it would be a great foodstuff! Way better than those freaky bouquets for cantaloupe cut into flower shapes…

Agreed. Warm bread, melted cheese & tomato sauce > no-longer-fresh fruit on plastic skewers, especially as comfort food. I mean, duh.

Related: Swiss International Air used to give out these perfect little calzones as snacks on their short-hop flights. With a square of Swiss chocolate after. It’s still my Platonic ideal of a lunch.

NOT TRUE. The calzones I get at my favorite pizza place have ricotta in them and therefore they are better than pizza when I want ricotta in my food.

Calzones are just pizza that’s harder to eat. They’re stupid, and nobody likes them.

there’s a place in LA called Irv’s Burgers and the lady that takes you an order draws a picture/writes a note for you on each plate that you order

(pick your truck now or they’ll snatch the good ones up and you’ll be left with eel slushies)

There was a big transport bicycle selling frites at the concert I went to last night but sadly I didn’t get any.

This reminds me of the time I was standing outside a club in the summer, waiting to go in and dance, and this tall handsome gentleman in running shorts came up with an enormous tray of pimento cheese biscuits and offered me as many as I wanted.

It was truly like a dream.

(The saddest thing is that I had just had such a huge dinner that I was stuffed and couldn’t eat any, but STILL)

The first one in particular reminds me of an early date with my fella!! We went to a really good chicken and waffles place that had paper tablecloths for drawing and we started coming up with new _____ and waffles restaurants and my favorite was snake and waffles. The logo was a green snake almost biting its tail so its body is a circle and the inside of the circle is filled in to look like a waffle.

I live in between three nano-breweries and I think I’ve seen all of these at them within the past month.

(NB4R there’s one that sells pickled eggs, one that does deep-fried Oreos, one that does kimchi quesadillas, and one that serves everything on biscuits.)

I’m pretty sure my dad would truly appreciate a red velvet herring cupcake. If you put herring on anything my dad will gleefully eat it. Especially if it’s pickled herring out of the little jars you can get at IKEA.

My dad is like that too! I use that to explain to slightly disappointed Dutch people as to why the raw herrings don’t freak me out.

Ugh my dad also enjoys fish form jars… I find it unsettling but I suppose that’s just my cultural ignorance.

yess deep sea desserts. Anglerfish food cake anyone?? With bioluminescent frosting, OBVI.

ohhh I know what food truck you're talking about and it was delicious, mmm rosemary fries.

My dad swears that eating lots of pickled herring turned his eyes blue after he spent a week in northern Canada.
