I woke up in a cold sweat very early this morning, wondering how the Kids felt as they slowly realized that what had appeared to be an aberration of their times–overly elaborate restaurant dessert plates–was merely the start of a long slow trudge into more gold-leaf-based complexity than they could ever have imagined.
