What Ina Garten Teaches Me About Love -The Toast

Home: The Toast

Treat your partner like they are the center of the universe while also being independent and having interests of your own.

Self-confidence is sexy.

Maybe distance does make the heart grow fonder.

Give your partner nothing but the best of yourself, what you make for them and what you give to them.

There’s nothing wrong with a good cocktail or glass of wine with your lover.

Boost your partner’s confidence.

Gaze lovingly at your partner even when you know too much about them, especially because you know too much about them.

Travel and have adventures together, especially in Paris.

And if your partner loves chicken, get really good at cooking chicken.

Thank you, I was just about to go looking for this. <3
I love how they both clearly view each other as fascinating. I also enjoy when she sends Jeffrey on errands. They make a wonderful team.

Right? They have maintained that aura of mystery and I just don't know how.
anthony bourdain just gave an interview insinuating that their marriage works because jeffrey is gay, so now i have another reason to hate anthony bourdain.

Bourdain is just jelly.
How many reasons is that, now - 12334824? 2384232? There's just so many and somehow he never stops developing more!
Find the art form the partner is great with, and make sure they know how you admire that part.
My parents have been married for 40 years and my mom says the secret is separate TVs. So you know, absence is a good idea!
Ina Garten is a goddess. the last time i was really sick, i played a stream of youtube videos of the show and let her voice wash over me. drifting in and out of fever, i watched her make so many lovely things for Jeffrey.

i would like to be her neighbor somehow someday. this is seriously one of my many very idle daydreams.

at my previous job, ina once stood next to my cubicle & complimented my cupcakes to her editor, and neither of them knew i was the baker. i will tell this story till i die.
