Do you know, I’m not much good at all at writing about music, but I love Brianna Lea Pruett’s work enormously, and I can’t stop listening to “New Life” this week. (The album was nominated for a Native American Music Award last year, and it puts me in mind of a very sleepy Civil Wars record. Sleepy being a compliment, not a suggestion that it drags in any way. See, this is why I don’t write about music.)
There’s a bit more about Brianna’s work and her death earlier this year at the Indian Country Today Media Network.
