Duuuuude everyone needs to go read Prez. It’s a comic about a teenage girl who goes viral for an incident involving a corndog right before the Presidential election and ends up being voted in as President and it’s all about the military-industrial complex and corporations running the government and IT IS SO GOOD GO READ IT

And it’s based on Prez Rickard, a (male) teen president comic created in the 70s, darkly paid tribute to in the Sandman series (World’s End, I think). So the original is also pretty rad.

This feels super real to me in that 37 years hence our only real choice as voters is still two white dudes.

Call me a dreamer, but I have faith that we might still see a black President within my lifetime.

Well why not! We already elected a secret Muslim Indonesian Freemason Jesuit Hologram Robot piloted by a reptilian who lives in the moon, why not an African-American?

Which makes me wonder if any women have been elected in the interim.

I see flag lapel pins have gone out of style, but lapels themselves have not.
