“My boundaries > you, and also my needs > your boundaries.”

Ugh. And here I thought the cartoon was enough of a punch in the gut.

Swoosh. Right? Ugh.

Too far outside the box = beyond the pale. The MindBody Code by Mario Martinez has wonderful things to say about living within or beyond other people’s pales. I found it worth puzzling through the odd writing.
Thank you for these cartoons! I’ve always enjoyed them. If by “enjoy” you understand “squirmed uncomfortably.”

I’m always glad to see these, and I’d been hoping against hope for one last installment. Thank you!

The last one of the birds is strangely comforting, even though historically I’ve been terrified of any story I’ve ever heard involving birds and telephone wires.

I kind of think it’s us. We’re all birds chattering on the wire, and we can, if we so desire, take the wire with us once the Toast-a-phone poles come down.
Apologies to the metaphor I’m torturing here.

No apologies needed – I quite like it. I also used to watch flocks of birds reconfigure themselves on wires while taking a cigarette break at work. It’s interesting motion.

Yes, I love this.

How much of throwing yourself at uncomfortable situations is trying to get over animal terror and how much not being able to accept your introversion? Never been sure.

150% of each, by my rough estimation.

They’re the same bubble. It’s an introvert-in-a-state-of-animal-terror bubble.

That's a very nice picture!
