Toast Points: The Week of Oct. 25th, 2013

il_570xN.430365735_hgq4On Monday, your spirit animal got tired of listening to you and Lady Godiva messed you up. Did we mention Jaya was an adorable biracial toddler?

Tuesday, Jessica Valenti got brave and personal with us, we talked shop, spent twelve days in jail for no goddamn reason, and ranked the minor characters of 30 Rock.

On Wednesday, we preferred animals to people and opined on our ideal body type. More importantly, TEXTS FROM WILLIAM BLAKE:

hi
hi
I got you a present
you did?
I drew you something
oh wow
is it horrifying?
no
do you promise?
William?
do you promise me that it’s not horrifying?

Thursday, we kicked off both our plus-size shopping column and our Gal Science column, to great acclaim.

And, of course, today is Friday.

On the same day as the spirit animal post, the Melville House tumblr posted this and said it was their spirit animal:

    I lost it.

So… I just tried to post a comment on the last post (selfies) but I can’t, because it seems to ONLY let people with WordPress accounts comment. So screw their rules (because patriarchy?!) and I’m commenting here:
I saw this post on selfies about an hours after one of the brokers we work with felt the burning need to email two women in my office a selfie of himself and ask if anyone was “interested” because he needs a date to a wedding because his “lady friend” is ill.
    W.T.F, man.

Yeah, I am having a lot of tech issues myself. It seems to go back and forth between WordPress and IntenseDebate, and if I go to the home page I can’t access anything past 10/17.

Hi Shahea – can you describe your login troubles further? We’re trying to get to the bottom of what’s going on. Thank you!

It’s weird – on all the other posts it looks normal. On that one post it tells me I need to log in to post a comment, and it looks different, and when you click the “login” link it takes you to log in at WordPress. I have IntenseDebate, though.
