Agreed. Hugh is great, but he is just playing the standard movie/TV Nazi.
Although to be fair, it’s not every standard movie/TV Nazi getting so ardently propositioned by Stephen Fry.
This is one of my top 5 favorite bofl sketches (the other four being Tony and Control, DAAAAMN, Barbershop/Engagement Ring, and the Bishop and the Warrior), and it never gets old. I always lose it when Stephen stands up with the chair still tied to him.
I don’t know that I can handle so much sexiness of Hugh Laurie in that uniform and smoking at the same time. Can’t say I blame Major Donaldson one bit.
