Donal Logue is one of our greatest living treasures, and the only person in the entire Blade franchise who seemed like he was having any fun. Every time I see him onscreen, I start jabbing incoherently at the screen and shouting, “It’s him! it’s him!” I wish him a better life than I wish for myself.

I’m still angry about Terriers.
I didn’t even know about Terriers until last year, and my anger is retroactive to 2010.
I scrolled past that show on Netflix a hundred times before someone recommended it to me, thinking it was some shitty TLC reality show or something just based on the branding. I’ve watched about half of it, still have no idea what the title/ promotional image are supposed to have to do with the show.
I vaguely remember when it was on TV the commercials that I saw said absolutely nothing about the show or who was in it, so I just ignored it. Once it appeared on Netflix I was pissed at FX for their advertising being so terrible. I would have watched it! How was I to know?
I will go to the mat for that show, it deserved as many more seasons as Donal Logue was willing to grace us with.
Jesus, that episode where the ending is that person sneakily crawling up into his attic while he plays guitar obliviously and then it goes to credits?

I was first introduced to Donal Logue in the VH-1 “I Love The…” series and I have held him in fond regard ever since and I am so glad I am not alone.

I watched many, many more episodes than I needed to of Grounded for Life exclusively because of Mr. Logue.

He’s also in Grounded for Life, which is not a bad show. It’s not great, and I don’t actually like it, I just like Donal Logue so much and its time slot happened to coincide with my need for mindless tv. It’s no Knights of Prosperity.

I have had a not-so-small crush on him for a while and I can never remember what I first saw him in to have that crush…
It was a bit part on The X-Files…. and also a multi-episode arc in Law & Order: SVU.
He has a recurring cameo on SVU now. I’ll take the Logue I can get.
True story, I once served him a double cheeseburger special and a lemonade at one of the world’s greatest dive bars. He was perfectly pleasant and normal, making him unique among the celebrities my fellow bartendresses and I encountered at that time. (Looking at you, between-Jennifers-Affleck. We remember. We’ll always remember.)

For some reason, I loved the movie Runaway Bride as a tween. He plays one of Julia Robert’s exes, who has become a priest.

He was King Horik on the second season of Vikings. Utterly awesome. And though the character in Sons of Anarchy was loathsome, he was great in the role.

I’ve followed him religiously since Grounded for Life. What a great show. Also, he responded to my tweet once to defend Manitoba since I made fun of it and wondered why he would go if not for work. He’s not even Canadian and he’s standing up for our most useless province. #Prince.
You guys need to check out his character on Life, which is anyway a great tv show. He takes what should be an incredibly obnoxious guy and gives him this inexplicable charm and also somehow sells that he could land a super hot and brilliant police detective (played by Sarah Shahi). It’s like wizardry.

When Tidwell (played by Logue) says he used to live “in the United States of New York City” in Season two it just made me laugh so hard, I think about that phrase all the time. I loved how stylized the dialogue was.
