The Toast continues to show it has impeccable taste in all things. I am getting somewhat mixed messages however, as Loretta Lynn is a Donald Trump supporter, and in some corners of the interwebs this is seen as a reason for divorce.

In 1966, in a school gymnasium in Savoy, Texas, a beautiful young woman by the name of Loretta Lynn was giving a concert sponsored by WBAP Country Radio, Dallas/Ft Worth. She was a simple thing, in a simple space that didn’t even sport a backdrop. Just before the concert began, she walked down from the stage bent down, and said, “You are about the cutest little boy I have ever laid my eyes on…”, and kissed my 6 year old cheek. I’ve been a fan from that minute forward, and later in my life wound up dear friends with her colleague the now-deceased Lynn Anderson.
