This week, family! We had Boudica and we had depression and Nicole was very sad and we had some Girl Tips and everyone wanted to be best friends with this guy and I had a BOOK COME OUT and I got to meet so many of you and I am so tired and excited and happy and jazzed and I’m still in New York City so let’s hang out, if you want to. Next week I will be in Austin, so let’s hang out there too. Okay, the rest of you, let’s meet back here on Monday.

I bought your book last night, and I want you to know it is a thing of beauty. But then again, you already knew that. My boyfriend doesn’t fully appreciate it, but he hasn’t read Daisy Miller at all.
I’ll see you next week in Austin. 🙂
two things:
1) New York – where?
2) I am about to hit submit on my yearly self-appraisal. For the second year in a row, I am requesting a promotion. I was ignored last year. I never post to the hive mind, but I really need some encouragement here. I’ve had almost a dozen interviews this year, as I know this is bullshit, but nothing has panned out. So, given that, I’m asking again. I have to pull the trigger by 6 and I’m feeling shitty about it.
Gah, job-chasing is the worst. Good luck, I hope they get around to recognizing how valuable you are!
ALWAYS ASK, or they’ll say you didn’t ask. If ignored again, keep interviewing elsewhere. But just ask, it won’t hurt (it may be a further measure of a crummy situation, but you won’t be worse off for it).
