Can Mallory come back AND Matt and Jaya keep contributing as much as they have this week? Also I’m surprised this is the only story tagged male terror, seems like there should be more.
This site really should be called THE TOAST, OR MALE TERROR.
Can you tag a whole website?
(Also, seconded! More of this AND more of that!)
Yeah, what about the women sitting in semi-circles? Truly, that was male terror.
Mine are mainly ponies and nondescript swirly-pointy designs that I’ve now had tattooed all over my back because what better thing to have tattooed on you than the thing you’ve been doodling since you were 8.
Oh, I admire this doodles as tattoos thing. That’s what all tattoos should be.
Agreed! My theoretical Perfect Tattoo is absolutely based on the things I doodle (the things: birds, vines, and daggers).
NOTHING. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. (I’ve considered doign something similar in the past …)
Do it! There’s a picture of mine in the last open thread as I had it finished on Friday. I absolutely love it, I know it’s unique as it’s entirely my own design, and I get so many compliments on it.
I totally love your Rad Muscle Dude. Like, to the extent that I’m going to bookmark this so I can look at him when I need cheering up and be reminded that life really is pretty gnarly, man.
Would highly recommend you do the same for Dolphin Prince from Monday.
Dolphin Prince has already been added to my desktop slideshow, for sure.
I idly draw Christmas trees, all year round. And old-timey houses. I’ve done so since I was a kid, and I’m not entirely sure why.
For your consideration:
Matt Lubchansky (top right): is he Lil Bub?
Lil Bubchansky
I was so excited at how Matt drew himself with a tiny cat tongue. Like he yawned and it didn’t go all the way back in, just like my cat.

You know, I want “a big ole idiot” to just be like, the standard epitaph.
It’s strangely heartwarming.
They’re not like “regular” skulls, they’re cool skulls.
Everyone knows smoking and wearing sunglasses makes you cool
If they had bodies they’d probably be wearing leather jackets.
teenage dirtbag skulls
New Toast tee- that gravestone with the inscription.
Eyes and knives. I refuse to speculate on what this reveals about my mental health.
Stick-figure versions of horror movies and zombie apocalypses. The stick-figure The Thing was my favorite meeting-long doodle.
I draw a single, five-petal daisy with leaves along its stem, in a clay pot. It’s virtually unchanged since I started in my mid-teens.
Mine is in grass because then I can draw grass.
Agreed! My theoretical Perfect Tattoo is absolutely based on the things I doodle (the things: birds, vines, and daggers).
1. Ladies wearing sexy outfits
2. cats
3. typographic illustrations of the words Fuck You
Stags and horses; I like embellishing the antlers, exaggerating those long legs and billowing the manes. And I’m curious: whose shadow is casting over Matt’s grave?
Disembodied torsos wearing corsets of various design.
And now I will be horribly self-conscious of my doodling.
I dedicate tonight's dinner of leftover homemade baba ghanoush to you!
