By The Bartender
The Bartender knows toast.
Thank you for being the kindest, cleverest, most wonderful people. The Bartender will miss pictures of all your animals, your advice, your brilliant hilarity, and the goodness and care you show one another.
The dish you see was advertised as a salad. Correctly.
A piece of toast. A piece of cheese. Half an avocado. Lox. And an egg cooked in a teeny tiny egg pan. These are the things of joy and wonder. Hope you're well dear Toasties. Open-thread!
Toasties! This is the best of all salads.
Cake for everyone! Tough week or good week? Eat all the cake.
Any day you eat an entire wafer cake is a good day (is cake the appropriate term for what's essentially a large KitKat?)
Toasties. It snowed. And is properly cold. So we're back to dark pictures of warm food... in this case pelmeni with butter.
Oatmeal with soy sauce, banana bread (when there is some), kefir, black tea, herbal tea, and some water is the the breakfast of champions and bartenders.
The Bartender is a bit down and out of it but shall not complain. Except about something that's annoying in all life: starting a series without realizing that the author has not finished it.
Toasties, is it spring yet? I thought it was and then a "huge terrible coldest ever snowstorm on Monday" was announced for NYC. If so, return to us the hour of sleep.
Cheers from the utter craziness that is the baby-bubble. If anyone wants to talk about how it gets better, The Bartender is all ears.
Dough and poppy seeds and sugar. One can never go wrong. Has anything wonderful and surprising happened to you this week?
Eat all the things! Talk of myths and legends and Fiennes. Open thread!
Toasties! Friends who make you beautiful meals are the best.
Happy New Year, dear Toasties! I hope it brings you light and truffles. Any resolutions broken yet? Open thread!
